Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the website design, build, hosting and care services provided by luckyrock ("luckyrock", "we", "us") to you ("you", "the client"). By paying a deposit, signing a proposal or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If a signed agreement with you says something different, the signed agreement wins.
1. Our services
We design and build websites for small businesses, and, if you choose, host them and make ongoing edits under a separate written agreement. The exact scope of each project (number of pages, features, timeline and price) is set out in the proposal you accept before work starts.
2. Prices and payment
- Prices are listed on our website and in your proposal, in US dollars, and exclude any applicable taxes.
- Website builds: Single page $500, Essentials (up to 4 pages) $750, Full site (more than 4 pages) $900. You pay half as a deposit before work starts and half at launch.
- Hosting and ongoing services, such as hosting or edits after launch, are optional. Their scope and price are agreed with you in writing before any charge, and any recurring billing is set up only with your consent.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Invoices are due on receipt unless your proposal says otherwise.
3. Delivery
All of our services are delivered online. We'll share a private preview link during the build. A typical website is ready to launch one to three weeks after we receive your content (logo, photos and business details). Delays in receiving content or feedback move the timeline accordingly.
4. Changes and revisions
Each build includes up to two rounds of changes (reworks) before launch at no extra cost. Additional changes, or work outside the agreed scope, are quoted separately and only done with your approval.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate business information, and content and images you have the right to use.
- Review previews and respond to questions in a reasonable time.
- Keep your domain registration and email accounts in good standing, or give us access to manage them for you.
6. Ownership
You own your domain name, business name, logo and the content you provide. Once the build is paid in full, you also own the finished website design and code we created for you. Until then, we retain ownership of the work. We may keep general tools, templates and components we use across projects. With your permission, we may show your finished site in our portfolio.
7. Hosting and availability
We use reputable third-party hosting providers and aim to keep your site online at all times, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We're not responsible for outages caused by hosting providers, domain registrars or other third parties outside our control.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect damages.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date, and tell active clients by email about any significant change.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA.
